Draw custom formulas on a stock chart
TickerKhoj can draw supported indicator expressions on a price chart or in a separate panel. Its formula language is designed for the scanner and chart tools. It is not a native Pine Script runtime.
Start with a formula you can explain
Price overlay
sma(close, 20) + 2 * atr(14)
This adds twice the 14-period average true range to the 20-period simple moving average. Its units are price, so use the on-price indicator.
Separate panel
(close - sma(close, 20)) / atr(14)
This expresses the distance from the 20-period average in ATR units. For a hypothetical close of 110, average of 100 and ATR of 5, the value is 2. This is a description of price position, not an entry signal.
Try it on a chart
Free sign-in required. RELIANCE is an example symbol, not a recommendation. Paste a formula from above after opening the chart.
- Open Indicators and choose + Price formula or + Panel formula. The custom formula editor opens directly.
- Enter a formula or select Start from an example. Check the validation message.
- Select Preview calculation to inspect the latest value, up to 30 recent bars and the last five bar values using the current chart candles and timeframe. Unavailable values stay unavailable; they are not replaced with zero.
- Select Draw on chart to apply the draft. The chart keeps its previously applied calculation until you do this.
- Use the Sets tab to save the indicator configuration for reuse in this browser.
Earlier lines can define name = formula; the last line is drawn. Saved Formula Lab indicators can also be used by name.
Formula support and Pine Script are different
You can use supported price fields, indicator functions and arithmetic. A Pine conversion assistant can help translate an idea into supported scanner rules; it does not execute the original script or guarantee equivalent behaviour.
Do not assume support for arbitrary Pine libraries, strategy code, drawing objects or every Pine function. Inspect the translated rules and compare their outputs before relying on them. If your workflow requires Pine-specific behaviour, TickerKhoj's current formula tools do not provide full compatibility.
Calculation history, timeframe, data source and warm-up requirements can change indicator values. Review pattern evidence and failure conditions alongside the chart.
