Privacy policy
In short
TickerKhoj (NSE Scanner) is a free stock research site. Public company pages, articles and guides are open without an account; the scanner workspace requires sign-in. We use account details and saved research to provide those features. We do not sell personal data, show ads, or ask for bank, card or broker passwords.
Who we are
TickerKhoj, at https://tickerkhoj.com (previously nsescanner.pages.dev), is run by Vasim Mistry from India. Contact: [email protected].
What we collect, and why
- Sign in with Google: your name, email address and Google account ID, shared by Google only after you choose to sign in. We use them to identify your account and record the first and latest sign-in and sign-in count. The site owner can see this account listing. We do not get your Google password, contacts, Drive or Gmail.
- Email and password accounts: your name, email and a securely hashed password (never stored in readable form).
- Your research: portfolio entries, watchlists, practice portfolio, saved screens and related settings you choose to save, so they follow you across devices. Some research and preferences remain only in your browser.
- Password reset: when you ask, we email you a one-time link that expires in 30 minutes.
- Notifications (optional): if you turn on phone or Telegram alerts, the technical address your browser or Telegram gives us for sending them, and the alert types you picked. You can turn them off at any time.
- Feedback (optional): your message, page, category and any email you provide. We use a one-way derived rate-limit key from an IP address or browser identifier to limit spam. The site owner can read submissions.
- Usage counts: a browser-generated identifier for approximate unique-visitor counts, and sign-in counts. A separate visitor counter is loaded from Visitorbadge.io. Our hosting providers may process IP address, browser type and request logs to deliver and protect the site.
- AI tools: if you use an AI feature, your prompt and relevant market context may be sent to an AI provider to return an answer; some formula ideas are kept in aggregate without your identity.
Your browser also stores the signed-in session token and some preferences and research. If you connect Fyers or Kite, the broker access token is kept in your browser until it expires and passed through our server to the broker for requested data; we do not store broker passwords or broker access tokens in the site database.
Who else handles it
- OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare host the scanner, public pages and account data.
- Google provides "Sign in with Google".
- Resend sends password-reset emails.
- Telegram delivers alerts, only if you link it.
- Visitorbadge.io provides a basic visitor counter.
- Fyers, Kite and AI providers receive data only when you use their connected or AI features.
Each handles data only to provide its service. We do not sell or rent personal data to anyone, and we do not share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Account records and saved research remain until you delete them or request account deletion. Password-reset links expire after 30 minutes. Feedback and visitor-count records have no automatic expiry today. Hosting providers keep request logs according to their own retention settings.
Deleting your data
Signed-in visitors can choose “Delete my data” in the Investor Desk to remove their saved desk research and sign-in listing. That button does not remove an email/password account, feedback already submitted or alert subscriptions. For full account or other data deletion, email [email protected] from your account address; we will verify your request, remove the applicable records and confirm when it is done. You can also remove the site's access to your Google account at myaccount.google.com/connections; this does not itself erase data saved on TickerKhoj.
Security
All traffic uses HTTPS. Passwords are hashed, sessions are signed and expire, and email/password sign-in attempts are rate limited.
Children
The site is meant for adults (18+) interested in the stock market and is not directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
